Implementation of the task consisted in the development of the “Accessibility Program for the City of Jaslo” within the framework of which an audit was carried out, including:

  1. architectural accessibility of urban space with particular emphasis on the buildings of the City Hall in Jasło and organizational units subordinate to the City of Jasło.
  2. digital accessibility, particularly of UMJ websites and mobile applications.
  3. information and communication accessibility of the City Hall in Jasło and organizational units subordinate to the City of Jasło.

    Three one-day training sessions were also conducted, including:
    (a) classroom training covering basic information on current legislation and resulting obligations for public entities;
    (b) online training for website editors, covering theoretical and practical information on ensuring website accessibility standards;
    (c) classroom training including a presentation of the developed Accessibility Program for the City of Jasło.

The result of the project is the development of urban accessibility standards for the City of Jasło, i.e. a set of requirements and guidelines describing how to design and implement investments, activities, services available to all, so that every user can use them in the form of Accessibility Program for the City of Jasło.

The implementation of the project influences the shaping of the city’s space so that it is as accessible as possible to all its residents, taking into account different needs and abilities based on age and fitness. The implementation of the audits made it possible to examine deficits in accessibility and draw conclusions that constitute an action plan for improving the provision of accessibility for the City Hall in Jasło and subordinate organizational units for the coming years.
