On March 21 this year, the 3rd Jasło Job, Education and Career Fair was held at the hall of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center in Jasło. They were an excellent opportunity to learn about the local labor market, establish professional contacts, as well as establish a career path and exchange knowledge and experience. Participants in the Fair were able to get an idea of current job offers, what employers offer and what their requirements are, what the work culture is in a given company, as well as where to look for subsidies and training. The Fair also gave space for many meetings, conversations and discussions.
The fair was organized by the City of Jasło in partnership with the Jasło Association of Entrepreneurs and was aimed primarily at job seekers, high school and college students. The main objective of the fair was to help those interested not only to take up, but also to change their current employment, to familiarize participants with the expectations and requirements of the labor market and to provide information on opportunities to gain new qualifications.
The Fair featured 35 Exhibitors. In the Work zone there were 20 companies of various character and size. We hosted the largest ones with national and global brands, but also those that operate locally. The Military Recruitment Center in Jasło, the Prison Service, the Police, ZUS Branch in Jasło and the European Funds Information Point also presented their offer. Consulting and training companies and universities presented themselves in the Education zone.
xhibitors prepared many interesting attractions for visitors. Among other things, it was possible to enter virtual reality, get a paraffin treatment for the hands or a massage, find out how old one’s body feels, and take a professional personality type test.
In the workshop zone, there was a workshop on LEGO programming conducted by GEN Science Generator Jasło. It was also possible to learn about useful, practical tools for systematizing a business idea, and to have individual consultations – how to correctly fill out an application to the CEIDG with a specialist from the Department of Entrepreneurship Support of the Jasło City Hall.
All those interested could also benefit from individual counseling provided by specialists from the Labor Office and representatives of Innovo. Innovations in Business. Those interested could write and consult their CVs with specialists in a specially created CV Point. Meetings among specialists were quite popular and certainly contributed to deepening knowledge and gaining experience.
Participation in the fair was free of charge.
We would like to thank everyone for their participation and invite you to a short report on the event.
