Meeting with a computer science engineer

4

On Saturday, February 25, at the Science Generator in Jaslo, we met Milosz Momot, a professional in the field of computer science. The topic of our meeting was programming and its types.

The meeting began with a lecture, during which we learned about the basic elements of programming, the advantages and the necessary skills one must have to become a programmer. That the lecture was extremely interesting is certainly evidenced by the number of questions that came from the participants.

The invited guest also presented us with a concrete example of programming, and we watched with interest how the calculator was programmed. The lecturer explained all the steps, gave tips, answered questions and shared his experience. After the programming lesson, we were able to test the calculator’s operation. Thanks to this meeting, we gained a lot of valuable information about programming and were inspired to try our hand at it.

We are currently in the middle of a construction project in which we are designing and constructing the Electronic Mascot of the Science Generator in Jaslo. It will be an autonomous robot promoting GEN. During our work we are learning a lot about computer science, programming and robotics, so it was very important for us to meet a programmer.

Engineer Milosz Momot is a Java programmer at the international IT company “Sabre” with experience in software design and implementation. He is certified as an RPA Developer Advanced in UiPath software and has attended many courses on programming with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
