Sound therapy

41

Continuing the tasks of the project and our discovery of the world of sounds, we went to the Jasielsk House of Culture. There, thanks to the favor of the director Helena Golębiowska, we were able to talk to our peers and introduce them to selected sound therapy techniques. Our demonstration took place in the ballet room so we were all the more able to arouse interest in the subject of sound and tell them what reactions occur and how inter-neural communication takes place in our brain when we combine the practice of music with the movement of the whole body, i.e. small and large motor skills.

Immediately after our presentation there was to be a vocal and dance class, so of course there was to be a moment of rest and relaxation. During a short therapeutic session, we presented our peers with a bowl sound massage and musical instruments that are often used in children’s stories, such as koshi bells, tingshe, shruti box, tang drums and many others.

We are glad to see that there was a lot of interest in the topic discussed on the faces of our colleagues. We hope that this admittedly short meeting will bear fruit in the future and that our peers, like us, will explore the secrets of music and treat it not only in terms of entertainment, but also in terms of health.

Once again, we would like to thank the director of JDK and Ewa Grzebień and Alicja Szulc for helping us organize this musical meeting at the Jasło Cultural Center and we hope that we will meet again more than once 😊.
