Free Mental Arithmetic Course for children in GEN. Enrollment begins

42

Mathematical competence is fundamental to every child’s intellectual development. Not surprisingly, more and more attention is being paid to developing mathematical skills in the youngest students, including the ability to count quickly. Among the effective methods of learning to practically count complex tasks we can include mental arithmetic training, to which we invite the youngest residents of Jaslo to participate. Registration for the Mental Arithmetic Course at the GEN Learning Generator will begin next Tuesday (January 9 this year). Participation in the course is free of charge.

What is mental arithmetic?
Mental arithmetic is one of the methods aimed at supporting child development in the broadest sense. Its cradle is China. The basis of mental arithmetic training is oral calculations on an imaginary abacus. After a few lessons, the child is able to transfer the actions performed on the abacus to his imagination, performing calculations mentally. The trainings are conducted in the form of a game, making it easier for students to absorb the knowledge transferred by the instructor. Children work in groups of up to 10 people, which guarantees an individual approach of the educator to each of the course participants.

Mental arithmetic training is worth starting at an early stage of learning. That’s why we offer the Mental Arithmetic Course to students in grades I-VI of elementary school. At this age, the child is well aware of the benefits of learning. The conditions of physiological development are also not insignificant. The child’s brain is more plastic than that of an adult. This fact is due to the difference in the number of neural connections, which are much more numerous in the case of a child’s brain.

It is also worth noting that mental arithmetic has a measurable impact on the academic performance of students, which is confirmed by the opinions of parents of children who have taken a course in rapid counting.

Why should you enroll your child in the course?
There are at least several reasons to enroll your child in GEN’s Mental Arithmetic Course. First, the ability to quickly count complex tasks allows a child to do better in math classes at school.

Mental arithmetic training develops memory and imagination. During classes, children learn to visualize numbers by imagining the movement of soroban beads. Thus, they develop perseverance. The Mental Arithmetic course is also an excellent method of training analytical thinking, which helps stimulate both the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Children make better inferences and process data.

As if that wasn’t enough, the training increases the neuroplasticity of the brain and influences the development of Brok’s and Warnicki’s cerebral centers, which are crucial in language acquisition.
