Construction of the new railway station in Jasło, together with parking spaces for several dozen cars, will begin later this year. We want it to be a modern and functional facility, designed to meet the standards of the 21st century. Residents of Jasło have been waiting for this investment for many years, so it is no surprise that the project has attracted significant public interest. For this reason, we invite the residents of Jasło to take part in public consultations and share their opinions on two alternative architectural concepts for the station. The consultations will continue until 20 May this year.
What will the station look like?
The construction of the new railway station building is a key investment project and one of the elements of the “Let’s grow Jaslo!” project, co-financed by the Swiss Funds. The facility is an integral part of a broader initiative aimed at improving the transport accessibility of Jasło. The Transport Centre will serve as a modern multimodal interchange hub.
The architectural concepts for the new station reflect the innovative and development-oriented character of the project. The modern facility will be functional and adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities. Moreover, as the most important element of a broader redevelopment concept for the area between General Józef Haller Roundabout and the intersection of Metzgera Street and 3 Maja Street, it will become an important part of a comprehensive urban development plan aimed at improving the city’s aesthetics. Located next to the Jasło railway station and National Road No. 28, it will become one of the city’s landmarks.
For this reason, two versions of the station design were prepared already at the planning stage. The goal is to allow the residents of Jasło to express their opinions on both architectural concepts as part of the consultation process.

The functions of the facility will remain the same regardless of the selected concept. The planned station building will have an area of approximately 260 square metres. The building will include all facilities necessary for comfortable passenger service, such as a waiting room, toilets, and electronic train arrival and departure boards. In addition, an exhibition dedicated to the history of railways and an interactive tourist information point are planned. The facility will be fully accessible for persons with disabilities.
Unlike previously consulted projects involving residents, such as the redevelopment of Jasło Market Square, in this case we unfortunately do not have full flexibility regarding the development of the entire area. It should be emphasized that the final design must take into account legal requirements and local conditions, including numerous restrictions and arrangements with both the railway infrastructure manager and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.
The station is not everything
The area where the station will be located will undergo a complete transformation. As part of the construction of the Transport Centre, a car park for approximately 50 vehicles will be built next to the facility.
However, this is only part of the broader vision. The City of Jasło’s plans for the area located between National Road No. 28 and Railway Line No. 108 extend far beyond the scope of the current design works. Additional plans include the construction of a six-bay bus terminal, a second car park with approximately 30 parking spaces, a bus depot with charging stations, and a public square with greenery and elements of small-scale urban architecture. We would also like the historic TKt48 steam locomotive, which previously stood opposite the granary, to be relocated here. The concept for the redevelopment of the entire area along Metzgera Street is presented in the remaining visualizations.
