Since 1 July, the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Jasło has operated as the Social Services Centre of the City of Jasło. This change was introduced as part of the “RozwijaMY Jasło!” project, implemented under the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Programme.
The transformation is organisational in nature and does not affect the continuity of the tasks carried out so far. Residents can continue to use all existing services and forms of support. At the same time, the Social Services Centre will gradually expand its offer to include new social services responding to the needs of various groups of residents.
The change of name and expansion of activities are also connected with adapting the Centre’s premises to new needs. Therefore, at the end of June, a contract was signed for the implementation of an investment project covering the construction of a passenger lift, the reconstruction of internal walls in the building and the construction of a sanitary sewage system. The task is being implemented as part of the “RozwijaMY Jasło!” project, within the component concerning the establishment of the Social Services Centre.
The investment is intended to improve the accessibility of the building, including for older persons and persons with disabilities, as well as to create appropriate conditions for the provision of new social services.
