Implementation of measures based on the self-assessment tool for local government prepared by the OECD

Goal: The aim of the project is to create an environment for intelligent management of the City by increasing the knowledge and competence of managers and employees of the Office and organizational units. The scope includes, but is not limited to:

  • strategic planning training necessary to develop and implement the City’s multi-faceted development goals,
  • workshops on coordination of activities between departments and organizational units (avoiding cost increases, inconsistencies between policies, duplication of efforts and increased burden on citizens),
  • Developing an effective system for motivating employees and improving competencies.

The purpose of the project is to create an environment for effective city management .
Scope includes:

  • training workshops for office management and executives (e.g. organizational, system and tool solutions for smart city management and its finances, industry-environmental projects – public-private partnerships);
  • Staff training on the deficits diagnosed in the Institutional Development Program,
  • Postgraduate studies to improve the skills of officials,
  • specialized courses in key areas in administration.

Communication system with the inhabitants of Jaslo

Implementer: City of Jaslo

The project involves the development and implementation of an IT system in web and mobile versions to enable dialogue and exchange of information between the residents and the office.
The system will enable, among others:

  • surveying the opinions and needs of residents to improve the quality of life in the city;
  • reporting by residents of defects in the city (e.g. lamp not lit, collapsed sidewalk) with the status of the removal of defects;
  • conducting surveys, public consultations;
  • sending city announcements e.g. about temporary road closures, crisis threats, city cultural events.

Who, what, where, when, why? – We focus on clear communication

Improving communication within the office, communication with residents, quality of provided services through, among others

  • Develop and create a catalog of sample letters/requests most often directed to the office by clients;
  • ossification and introduction of standardized for each department of the office template of letters addressed to residents;
  • Create a city newsletter for residents listing current information.

Development of Accessibility Programme for the City of Jaslo

Implementer: City of Jaslo

Development of urban accessibility standards, i.e. a set of requirements and guidelines describing how to design and implement investments, activities and services accessible to everyone so that every user can benefit from them. The implementation of the project is to help shape the city space so that it is as accessible as possible to all of its residents, taking into account different needs and abilities resulting from age and disability.
