Activation of Jaslo residents

The project “Let’s grow Jaslo” is implemented by the City of Jasło under the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme.

The local government of Jasło has secured funding for its implementation from the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme (the so-called Swiss Funds). The programme provides financial support to selected European Union member states in order to reduce socio-economic disparities within the Community.

The main objective of the project is to improve the socio-economic situation of Jasło.

Specific objectives of the project:

protection and improvement of the environment through complementary actions in the areas of waste management, renewable energy, improvement of energy efficiency of public buildings, and sustainable public transport,
increasing environmental awareness among the residents of Jasło (educational campaign),
improving the situation of young people in Jasło on the local labour market,
development of local entrepreneurship and improvement of the situation of local businesses,
improving the situation of socially excluded and at-risk groups,
creating conditions for the development of non-governmental organizations,
increasing the activity of Jasło residents,
enhancing the competencies of the City of Jasło administrative staff.

Key activities planned within the project:

construction of a sewage sludge composting facility at the wastewater treatment plant in Jasło,
increasing the production and use of renewable energy within Jasło,
improving energy efficiency within Jasło,
improving the transport accessibility of Jasło,
improving the situation of young people in Jasło on the local labour market,
the city’s potential as a foundation for the development of local entrepreneurship,
promoting social inclusion and support for people at risk of exclusion,
