Radio known and unknown

Fifth-graders from Elementary School No. 2 are carrying out a science and research project as part of the Exchange of Brilliant Ideas for Jaslo competition under the title , “In the beginning was the Word! How to encourage young Yaslans to listen to the radio?”

The essence of the project is to show young people alternative ways to the Internet and computer to spend time and relax. Radio is an invention from decades ago, but even today it can contain valuable content. The fifth-graders found that one of the most interesting radio programs are radio dramas. It is worth pulling this art form out of the lamppost and seeing if it will appeal to others. In an age of renaissance, such as board games and historical reenactments, radio can also work well for those who like to listen and value their imagination. After all, as the Bible-referencing title of the project implies: in the beginning was the Word, and that obliges.
The group began its work with team-building games, then using the metaplan method they considered all the associations associated with radio. It turned out that the fifth-graders know a lot about radio. During the next class, they took advantage of the proposal of the media library and participated in a board game workshop. And it was a hit. They saw how to create the story layer of a game, book or other project step by step, how to concretize and give character to characters and plan the plot. They will use the acquired skills in creating their radio play, the idea for which is already germinating in their heads.
The project implements the assumptions of the program “Jasło – city of knowledge”. Classes are held in the Generator of Science in Jasło and allow the use of all its resources.
Project team: Milena, Zuzia, Ada, Maja, Ala and Jasiu

The GGP task is implemented within the framework of the project: “Jasło – City of Knowledge” implemented within the framework of the project financed from the funds of the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and the state budget titled “Jasło – my city, my home”.
