Our survey research on the musical life of Jasielsk educational institutions, conducted as part of the “Jasielsk Suite” project, is complete. On the basis of the materials received, a comprehensive analysis has been created, and this digest for the curiosity of Jielno residents.
Kindergartens
All children in Jasielsk kindergartens, each about 100, are covered by music education. Teachers of each age group conduct rhythmics. Their achievements are similar. Preschoolers sing and dance in public on Grandmother’s Day, Grandfather’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Children’s Day, at the festivals of the institutions. From city events they prefer competitions: “Eco-songs from a small stage” and “On the note of canticles”.
Mother’s and Father’s Day 2022 at the City Kindergarten Number 2, which has been in the works since 1959. Rafal Kaminski is an alumnus.
December 26, 2020. Caroling at the city kindergarten number 3, which was founded in 1959 as the Exercise Kindergarten at the Pedagogical High School for Kindergarten Teachers. It organizes the city’s Preschool Song Review “Autumn does not have to be sad” .
November 25, 2022. Children from City Kindergarten Number 11, which has been in operation since January 1983, often attend the concert at the State Music School.
November 28, 2022. The Fairy Tale Private Kindergarten, which has been in existence since 2007, was visited by the Mobile Philharmonic. Roksana Węgiel is a graduate of the kindergarten.
Pre-school children in a small percentage benefit from regular music classes at the Jasielsk Cultural Center, Youth Cultural Center. Participation in the cyclical concerts of the State Music School and Private Music Schools and education in the Music Clubs was also noted.
Elementary schools
All students in Jaslo schools have music as a subject, while early childhood education includes music education. Developing students’ vocal and instrumental talents are the concern of every school. Student ensembles provide musical setting for assemblies, academies and other school celebrations, city and district events. They participate in reviews of artistic ensembles, competitions at the Jasielsk House of Culture and the Youth House of Culture; “School hits”, “Love me tender”, “Competition of carols and pastorals On the note of canticles”. They gave concerts on the occasion of the “New Year’s Gift” and “Antonia’s Gift of the Heart”, at the Jasielsk Market Square, the Franciscan Square. They note the participation of students in the activities of state and private music schools.
Romuald Traugutt Elementary School No. 1 in Jaslo. There has always been a large singing group here. Student choirs of grades 4 – 8, “Świetliki” on November 3, 2022 musically framed an unusual ceremony – the presentation of the Order of the Smile to Professor Karol Mysliwiec.
Szkoła Podstawowa nr 6 im. Adama Mickiewicza z Państwową Szkołą Muzyczną I stopnia urządziły wspólną wieczornicę z okazji 100 rocznicy Odzyskania przez Polskę Niepodległości. Działa tu zespół muzycznie rapujący – „Adamix”.
Elementary School No. 7 is astonishing. Since 1978 it has had an anthem written by Boguslaw Mastej. Children sing in the choir and church on various occasions such as World Kindness Day. Famous graduates: Piotr Kiełbasa from 2003 to 2020 singer and dancer in the State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble “Mazowsze”, and Paulina Paprocka, Dominika Paprocka, Weronika Paprocka, Natalia Paprocka – from the band “Trzcinicoki” and Jakub Sypień piano virtuoso.
The Stefan Cardinal Wyszynski Elementary School No. 11 in City School Complex No. 2 has a 16-member vocal and instrumental ensemble. It presents songs and tunes at school assemblies. A concert of Christmas carols was played on chromatic bells metalophones, xylophones, singing carols as well. These musicians are also active outside the school.
Ignacy Lukasiewicz Elementary School Number 12 with Integrative Branches boasts the School Song. Janusz Budziak leads the School Vocal Ensemble and the “Amadeus” Choir here. From 1992 to 2019, he also animated the scout team of 139 DH “Foxes” The teams recorded in Radio Rzeszow. Students won high places in competitions and festivals, including scouting competitions. The school organized the “Gim Hit” Festival with flair.
Alumni: Marlena Szpak – soprano, Michal Szpak – singer, Mateusz Mijal – singer won the 1st Jan Wojdak’s Rainbow Songs Festival, Łukasz Motkowicz – baritone, Ewa Juszczyk-Kowalkowska – orchestra of the Baltic Opera in Gdansk, Seweryn Wróbel – Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra, Maciej Biernacki – KSU band, Kacper Szpyrka – Kirszenbaum band, Franciszek Szmyd – bass/baritone, Łukasz Książkiewicz, Łukasz Nigborowicz – Jass Brass Consor ensemble, Krzysztof Dybaś – Neolith ensemble, Michał Wiśniewski – Seila ensemble, Izabela Filip – mezzo-soprano, Maciej Serafin – DJ NORIZ, Marcin Rompey Rąpała, Dawid Wojnarowicz – singer triumphant on TVP 2’s “The Voice Kids”.
Secondary schools
They attract peers, believers, audiences, officials. With grace, perfection of performance element. Some we recall from the lamus others from the real world. Grateful to the youth for their enthusiasm around singing and playing, to the conductors for their pedagogical tact and artistic expression, respect to the authorities for not bothering to create and disseminate.
We remember with a tear in our eye the Female Choir of the defunct Studium for Kindergarten Educators in Jaslo. It performed many times at school, city and county ceremonies. Recorded for Katowice Television in 1969, and sang on the long-playing album “Jasielska Suite.” On May 30, 1965, he bravely performed live, accompanied by the band of the Social Music Gymnasium, in the Television Tournament of Cities Jaslo – Krosno. At that time they performed a song specially written and composed for the occasion, ‘Song about new Jaslo’ music – Jerzy Kaszycki, words -Tadeusz Śliwiak.
The “Soli Deo” choir has existed at the First High School and St. Stanislaus the Bishop and Martyr Parish since 2006, initiated by Father Andrzej Sroka. The name was taken from the front of the Junior High Church, dedicating the singing to God himself. This mixed choir honors the liturgies of major religious and school ceremonies in the churches of Jaslo and the district. It is conducted by Monika Twarduś. The “SOLI DEO” choir has released five of its own audio CDs and 2 in cooperation with “NEW DAY” and “RISONANZA” ensembles. They contain songs: passion songs, classical and old Polish carols, religious songs.
Several generations of Yaslanians sang in the coeducational school choir “Akord” of the King Stanislaw Leszczynski High School. The choir honored school events, including those outside the “general school”. It was accompanied by a school orchestra of several members. Its members, growing up, created a stage band, which, together with vocalists, formed a professional group performing, among others, in the park’s Gloriette. The soul of artistic endeavors in these circles was Professor Stanislav Terwicz, who taught Russian at the High School. The school organized an annual student song contest to identify musically gifted talents.
In the School Complex No. 4 in Jaslo the popular “Economist” has always flourished musical life once thanks to Mieczyslaw Rymar, Anna Kopeć, Katarzyna Dubiel, Andrzej Sliza. The concert at JDK for the 50th anniversary was truly professional Musical and vocal ensembles enriched school events. Triumphs were recorded: in 1985/86 third place in the XI Provincial Review of School Artistic Groups, in 1989/90 Urszula Adamczyk honorable mention in the Religious Song Contest, in 2008/99 Eliza Tokarska second place in the Provincial Contest of Foreign-language Carols and Pastorals. The school’s current student is Roxana Węgiel, who gave her peers a concert for the inauguration of the 2021/22 School Year.

September Heroes Technical School Complex in Jaslo. Despite the fact that the curriculum does not include the subject of music education, the school has had a male choir and a guitar ensemble since 2008. They are led by Joanna Dybaś. And more than once they have delighted other school students and guests. Because on an ongoing basis, she prepares musical settings for academies and school ceremonies, Lenten retreats and district celebrations held at the Complex. He has extracurricular successes. Just like the formerly active here in the “vocational school” vocal and musical group led by Henryk Babiarz.
