Modernisation of the Social Services Centre building has begun

43

On 1 July of this year, the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Jasło became the Social Services Centre of the City of Jasło. The institution will continue to carry out its existing tasks. Moreover, over time, the SSC will expand the range of social services addressed to the residents of our city. The organisational changes are also accompanied by modernisation works aimed at better adapting the institution’s premises to the needs of Jasło residents, in particular persons with disabilities and senior citizens.

The scope of modernisation works at the building located at 25 Szkolna Street in Jasło includes:

installation of a new passenger lift, which will significantly improve the accessibility of the building for persons with disabilities, senior citizens and persons with reduced mobility,

reconstruction of internal walls,

modernisation of sanitary infrastructure,

removal of architectural barriers outside the building.

All works are being carried out in an active facility, while ensuring safe access to the building for both SSC employees and clients. The works will be completed in October of this year.

The construction works are being carried out by Zakład Remontowo-Budowlany Janusz Golema, based in Rzeszów. The value of the investment amounts to nearly PLN 1.2 million.

The task is being implemented as part of the project “RozwijaMY Jasło!”, co-financed by the Swiss Funds supporting the reduction of economic and social disparities in the European Union and by the state budget.
