The City of Jasło is organizing an educational contest called “Exchange of GENIAL Ideas for Jasło” (GGP) in the 2022/2023 school year. This competition is addressed to Jasło youth aged 10-19 years, as well as to the teaching staff of elementary schools, secondary schools, educational, cultural, sports institutions and non-governmental organizations conducting activities for children and young people.
The youth, under the supervision of their teachers/guardians, will be tasked with preparing interesting projects about Jasło, and later publicly present their results before an expert competition committee. For the best projects, youth teams and their guardians will receive attractive prizes.
The projects will be carried out in a unique place conducive to scientific thinking, research activity and invention – in the newly established Generator of Science (GEN) at 2 Bednarska Street in Jasło. Participants of the competition have at their disposal conference rooms, creative studios and laboratories, scientific expositions and a technoteque. I count on your participation in building “Jasło – City of Knowledge,” encourages Małgorzata Adamska-Chmiel, deputy mayor of Jasło.
Importantly, participants in the competition will be provided with comprehensive support in the form of training in, among other things, the project method as an educational strategy, and team mentors will be paid, in addition, project groups will receive funds for project implementation.
