Construction of a new road in the Jasielsk investment zone begins

18

By the end of September, a new 1.2-kilometer-long road is to be built in the Warzycki investment zone, which will connect Meblowa Street with J. Pilsudski Street. The investment, valued at PLN 10 million, is financed by Norwegian and state budget funds, as well as the City of Jasło’s own funds, and is being built as part of the “Jasło – my city, my home!” project.

The ceremonial signing of the agreement was attended on the part of the city: mayor of Jaslo Ryszard Pabian and Jacek Borkowski – Treasurer of the City of Jaslo, while on the part of the contractor, which is Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowo-Mostowych Sp. z o. o. in Jaslo: Adam Matuszewski, President of the Board, and Zbigniew Brączyk, Member of the Board.

We are very happy when investments in the city are carried out by local contractors. Firstly because we have a proven contractor, and secondly because our local companies have the opportunity to obtain external funding,” said Mayor Ryszard Pabian. The mayor recalled that investments in the warzyckiej zone have been underway since 2010, when Produkcyjna Street was built, followed by Prosta and Meblowa Streets. – Now we are building a 1.2 kilometer section that will connect them to Pilsudski Street. I am convinced that, as with the other roads that were built earlier, there will be increased interest from investors, because at the moment access to the Warzycka zone was only from Bieszczadzka Street,” the mayor stressed.

In turn, the investment contractor stressed that the most important challenge will be the short time for implementation. – Every investment carried out in the city involves surprises that we encounter on the construction site, such as utility networks. However, we are implementing so many tasks that there should be no problem. For this year alone, we have already contracted works worth more than PLN 70 million,” explained Adam Matuszewski, CEO of Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowo-Mostowych Sp. z o.o. in Jasło.

The construction of the road is being carried out as part of the project “Jaslo – my city, my home!”,from Norwegian funds, but due to the amount of the task, it also had to be subsidized from city funds. – We submitted our application several years ago, hence the increase in its value. Only the third tender allowed us to sign a contract, but we had to secure an additional PLN 3.5 million. The remaining funds come from the Norwegian program and the state budget,” added Jacek Borkowski, Jasło treasurer.

The scope of work includes, among other things:

  • execution of earthworks related to the construction of a community road, bicycle path, sidewalk and exits,
  • execution of reconstruction of colliding technical infrastructure,
  • execution of road drainage (rainwater drainage system with outflow of rainwater to drainage ditches and Warzycki stream),
  • construction of a total of four frame culverts: two on the existing watercourse adjacent to the subject investment, i.e. Warzycki stream, and two on drainage ditches,
  • construction of municipal road 5KDZ with a length of 1172 m,
  • construction of intersection with DK 28 – Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego street,
  • Construction of sidewalks and bicycle path along the designed road,
  • construction of road lighting, tele-technical canal, construction of municipal road surface and green surfaces,
  • construction of vertical and horizontal signage and traffic safety devices.
